Online dog training comes in two common shapes that owners confuse. A one call is a single planning conversation: you leave with a plan. Curatorship is a loop: film the real picture, get criteria adjusted, run homework, film again. One downloads advice. The other installs a coach into your week.

What is the difference in practice?
One call answers “what should we do?” Curatorship answers “are we still doing it — and what changes this week?”
One call. Best when ready for consult criteria are met, the picture is narrow, and you can execute. Curatorship. Best when criteria drift, guests keep paying jumps, or the leash picture changes by street. Shared rules. Short evidence beats novels — see intake video. US Zoom and UK WhatsApp clips are the same job: whole dog, whole handler, real threshold. Time zones change scheduling, not the loop.
How should you choose and run the format?
- Write the primary picture and whether you can already block unpaid rehearsals.
- If you only need a clear plan and can run it, book a one-call style session and treat homework as yours to own.
- If last plans evaporated, choose curatorship: weekly or biweekly clips, criteria notes, management checks.
